A Painting for Emily
Little Bear is carrying a paint stand from inside his house. Because of the way he holds the stand in front of himself, he cannot see, and thus bumps into Mother Bear, who is putting up sheets on the clothesline. He apologizes and sets down the stand, before asking her to help him fix his paint shirt sleeves. While Mother Bear is doing this, she asks him what he is going to paint, and he tells her that he does not know yet. Emily arrives on a bicycle with Tutu and Lucy. Tutu runs over to Little Bear and he picks her up and says hello to her. Little Bear offers Emily the chance to paint with him, but she tells him that she had promised Granny that she would help her pick peaches. Then Emily suggests that Tutu and Lucy can stay, because Tutu loves to eat peaches and Lucy could get dirty. Emily waves goodbye as she rides off.
